I haven't done it myself, but it's run off the same belt as the alternator. Process looks to be: remove rubber pipe from the SMIC to the throttle body, remove the throttle body, untension the belt, remove belt and alternator, disconnect and remove compressor and then reverse it all to refit. Obviously getting the system drained and regassed.
If you're getting a new one, all of the pulley wheels on those components are apparently held on with bolts that require a special tool to remove which is a massive hassle, so if you need to swap the pulley over to the new one you'll need to find someone who can do that as well.

The compressor is held onto the block by 3 13mm bolts very easy to remove.
I have the one from my car in perfect working order if you want to make me an offer?
