How do i get my RCD200 code?

Just fitted a Parrot Bluetooth kit & foolishly assumed my handbook would list the PIN code for my radio.
Unfortunately, & somewhat predictably, it's missing.
Is there an online 'calculator' I can use to access my radio now, or do I have to give my VIN & unit serial # to my local dealership on Monday?
Thanks for any help!

Have you tried just starting the car up then trying the radio? The stereo is paired to the ECU so it 'should' just relearn it as soon as the car fires up, happened to me!

I find that if you actively turn the radio off before unplugging it (press the left button) it will work again straight away once it's re-fitted. If it's switched on but still switches on/off with the keys, it will request the code and normally require you to cycle the ignition a few times before it remembers. For me it stayed locked until I had driven down to the VW dealers and made an appointment to go back the following week and get the radio code

Fortunately it worked when i started up to leave so I went back in and cancelled

I have had the same when disconnecting the battery - sometimes CODE and the 1000 will appear for a while. it often takes several off/on cycles of the ignition to make it actually display LEARN and read thew PIN fromt he ECU.
Can VW generate the PIN though from the chassi number? I do not have the PIN card that I suspect was originally shoipped - the first owner didn't include it.

Me neither, its because the card is normally perforated in the page and rather stupidly says 'remove and keep in a safe place' when the safest place for it is in the book!
Yeah that's what I thought. I had my v5 and proof of identity with me but the guy I talked to was pushing to book the car in and remove the stereo to get a serial number and all this noise, wouldn't be surprised if I was charged for it. Suffice to say I was glad it sorted itself in the end.

Colbornes of Guildford (main dealer) wanted the car for an hour "to connect the car's ECU to their systems & retrieve the code" & wanted £25 for the privilege.
Bargain.
