Hi,

My girlfriend's Polo broke its lower gearbox stabiliser which I've now replaced. Only thing is, I can't get reverse anymore. When I put it in reverse it feels like 1st, could this be a linkage problem and if so can it be adjusted?

You either have a damaged shift cable, or you have misaligned the linkage - Check underneath for any obstructions, and that it is all adjusted properly.

Thanks, if the cable(s) are damaged is it difficult to replace them?
