i hear lots of good things about the koni adjustable kits, and am now at the stage of buying some. after reading some of the posts here in the chassis section i am starting to worry about rust and corrosion. do these kind of kits rust up in the same way that coils do? do i need to whack a sh*t load of grease in? also they dont need servicing either, do they, cos they are sealed units, is this right?

also any good links for the cheapest available, ive seen em at TSR for £340 and at street racers shop for £328. if anyone knows any cheaper sites please let me know, cheers people

koni's are very good for ride comfort, but are obviously quite pricey for what they are, but you get what you pay for! so go for em!
when i put mine on, i slapped quite abit of copper grease around the joints of the dampers (you can never put too much of this stuff on) but im not sure whether they need constant servicing anyone?

did you put loads of grease on ur spax coils or on a set of shocks and springs u had? wot im wondering is if the shocks need the amount of grease coils do, cos coils have the threads and sh*t showing. did u used to have koni's? by the way love the colour of ur ride, did u get it new? its a lucky find gettin one in that colour

i put the grease mostly around the joints and at the top of the suspension (under the turrets) not actually any on the springs themselves, i also put sum on the thread on the dampers (height adjustable coil-over thread) to ease lowering and heightening of the car
at any joints where the new suspension meets the cars original bodywork, i wud advise putting a dab of copper grease.
i must say i havent seen many polos in grey mettalic, and yes it was standard factory colour when i bought it off an o.a.p lol, thats why its got quite low mileage only 19,000 at the mo on a 2000 plate
poor ole' boy wud probably have a heart attack if he saw the car now!

i loved that colour when i had it (before it was wrecked) when you cleaned it it look really clean. only prob was didnt stay like it for long!
theres not many of them like that around tho!

i reckon the old fella would love it, bet he wished he'd done it himself to get some of the blue rinse brigade onto the back seat. that would give the car park pervs a nasty suprise. oooh betty!
