Waiting for a new Polo?

With a couple of people waiting for new Polo's I thought that this might be of interest
Is the car from UK stock or is it being shipped from Spain or South Africa?
If it's built to your order and ready for shipping you can track it once you have the VIN number from your dealer
Go to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics web site ~ https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb
Enter the VIN number in the 'Cargo ID' field and click on the 'Track' button
This will tell you the name of the ship and where it is
Once you have the name of the ship you can find more accurate updates on the ships location by searching for it in marine traffic websites
http://www.marinetraffic.com
Click on location and map and from the satellite view you can zoom in and see cars on the dock
but not yours because it's not live but the ships tracking overlay position is
As an example mine was Bess, roll on roll off, and it's current position is ~ http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/shipde ... =372995000
Once built the car will wait for a full ship load and will not appear on the tracking site until it has been loaded onto the vessel
and possibly a few days after that once the shipping data has been updated ~ mine showed up when it was loaded
Ships can disappear of the tracking while on route if they are out of range ~ it doesn't mean that it has sunk and you might have to dry out wet carpet
