Recently lowered the rear of the Polo a bit more and now the Milltek exhaust is knocking on the rear beam. Had a look under the car and there is about a millimeter of clearance but the pipe expands when heated up and starts knocking.

Checked all the exhaust rubbers which are Powerflex ones and all are tip top and unbroken.

Anybody alse had this problem and if so how did you solve it.

Got this problem once fitting the sports cat!

Maybe see what sort of shape the cat is in? Mine made a knocking sound and it turned out to be the honeycomb stuff in the cat had had it. It was cracked so knocked about over bumps.
Is it also making a chafing or “metallic” sound? If it is it’s probably the cat.

Bear in mind mine isn’t even dropped, and the cat still managed to break.
