GTI Coilover help needed!

Hey everyone, I own a 6R gti and need for some advice on coilovers.
I've searched the forum for an answer, but most coilover topics are about changing the stance rather than the actual performance of the car.
the car right now has H&R lowering springs...I like the way the car sits, but it is really bouncy and just way to hard for the crap roads we have here in Turkey. The wheels and tires are stock dunlop 215/40/17s and even going over speed bumps at 5-10mph causes a big thud from the front end  .

What im looking for is something that will:
- soak up the bumps
- give the same/similar lowered stance
- improve cornering ability. (recent run in with a stage 2 2.0 rocco showed me the gti needs an upgrade )

This is the first car that i've ever thought about modifying the suspension,so go easy if im asking for the impossible :)

The coilovers i've looked at range from 220 pound FK's to 1500 pound Bilstein kits. This is a road car only, and will not be going to the track, so i doubt i need the crazy expensive stuff.
Is there a kit that will tick all the boxes? have you used a kit/brand that you can recommend?

Thanks in advance!

this is how the gti sits now.
