balancing rods

I have brought a set of integragated forged conrods but someone said to me i need to get them balanced. Does anyone know if this is true because when my brother built his engine he never balanced his and it is fine. Also i have spoke to a fiew engineering companies and they say it will knock them out of balance on different weaights.??

ie rods are chinas finest. quality control can be p*** poor so id certainly get them checked over.

Ill get them in to be checked over to make sure there all good, i am waiting to hear back tommorow from AMD just to get a bit of advice on fitting and parts needed to do the job right, and also a price on them fitting them. Thanks for the advice.
