i just bought a 6R SE and i know VW tried to copy range rovers when it came to rear suspension.
i know gti springs offer 15mm but thats not enough...i want to lower it without compromising ride quality too much as that was a big issue with my previous car.
Any good coilovers? or springs, maybe even springs and shock combos?
please anyone with experience on lowering their 6R help meeeeeeeeee
thanks

I personaly think 35/55 looks awesome.
Don't know how the ride is though... Tends to get a bit hard with stock shocks and lowering springs...

Awful mate to tell the truth. I put the H&R 35-55 on my GTI. Height wise it was perfect, looked awesome but the ride was shocking. Lasted just over a year with them and swapped them out for the eibach pro kit 15-20 which still makes a huge difference to the height but the ride is perfect. Hope that helps.

ii dont know if i can apply to that as i have an SE and they have different suspenion to GTi's obviously they have a higher damping rate therefore will get harsher when lowered...
but i guess i can still expect a s**t ride from them springs .....
IF i buy the eiback 15-20 kit for a gti ..will that fit on my SE???...obviously they already have taken into account that the gti is 15 mm lower

wouldnt bother with eibach, once fitted you will want it to drop more, h&r 25/40 is perfect, perfect firmness and the obvious choice that dont screw up your shocks like the 35/55 ones do after a couple k miles...

Its more of the engine weight that defines which springs fit which pal. Best to double check with Eibach.
Regarding height on mine, I'm pretty happy with how it sits on the Eibach's. If you actually want to enjoy driving your car, pointless lowering the s**t out of it because with our brilliant British roads all you get is speed bumps round every corner. Mine catches even now. All depends on what kind of ride you want. Volkswagen actually sell the Eibach's and wont question you about warranty when fitted as well. Just food for thought pal.

Has anyone bought from performance 3000 before?

They have the H&R springs for the 1.2 tsi for under £130! Seems like a crackind deal.

i think 25/40 H&R springs won't compromise ride comfort that much. However if they are anything like my old PI springs that i fitted on my corsa D they will be back breaking stuff!

I bought NMavs H&R kit off him for the wife's 1.4, yeah it's a bit bumpy over speedbumps but not that bad. Suppose I've grown up with mk1 and mk2 golfs scraping the floor though so anything will be an improvement

PERFECT! just the info i needed....very very perfect drop too

...whats the ride like on a normal road with 1 or 2 potholes every metre? lol
i will also be putting 17's on and dont want the interior to go creaking mad like in my 9n3 becuase of low profile tyres.
any noise from the interior? also whats the drop on front and back?
