Hi!

I am dying to get DAB in my Polo 2011.
The dealer said my 310 does not come with DAB standard.
When I tap 'radio' it doesnt show DAB on there.

Does anyone know if all RCD310's are DAB compatable?
Or do they have special modules inside them to enable DAB functionality.

I am looking to either get a DAB aerial for my 310 or get a DAB 510

Please help.

You need to have a DAB RCD310 and a DAB aerial for it to work. There are dab and non dab version of it.

Yep as above you'll need to buy the DAB version, probably easier to jump to the RCD 510 at the same time. Costs circa £200 plus the new antenna

Contemplating a RNS instead of the RCD

Rns510 any day over an rcd, but getting an rns510 with dab will set you back over £600!!

RNS 315 could be the answer here. Can be picked up for around £300 with DAB, also has the bonus of inbuilt Bluetooth which none of the other RNS or RCD units offer. Only caveat is the slightly smaller touchscreen but easy enough to use for nav and music playback etc.

Don't think I would choose the 315 as I do want the bigger screen.
