Wanted cable to connect beta radio to single cd player part 6c00051734A been to main vw dealer they dont have it HELP TA

I went into a vw dealer and he gave it to me in laws polo has a beta radio with cassette no cd so I got a single cd player connected it up but it wouldnt work ive been told I need a seperate power cable and this is the one I need to power up the cd player ??

It draws power from the radio connector and has a seperate earth so not sure why they told you that mate
