Polo 6R sill protectors looking for recommendations....

I have had my polo for over a week and finally for time to give it the big clean and on doing so noticed that the inside sills are all scratched (more so the drivers side) it's been when the driver and pass avers are getting in/out the car and on a black car it looks terrible!
So I'm looking for sill protectors to cover over the current scratches and protect from further ones and I'm looking for recommendations as to kits and where to buy them....oh and I don't really want to blow silly money on them either!!

Saw these

Anybody used the web site or have fitted the parts want to share their thoughts?

Other places to buy? Or recommendations gratefully received!!

I looked at this and noted that despite having UK stock enblazened on the ad, they are actually in Hong Kong. So I would suggest the VW OEM ones instead. I know they are twice the money but you get what you pay for.

I have those on mine and they are great. Excellent quality and 3M genuine vinyl

Are these just strips of vinyl that you need to apply or are they rigid Plastic that stick on? I have tried vinyl rapping stuff in the past....never lasted more than 2-3 days before they were removed for looking crap! I like the carbon fibre look but would rather have rigid plastic (or metal!!)

They are 160 micron exterior grade which is really thick compared to the normal stuff

I scrape them most days with my work shoes which are pretty vicious, and I haven't damaged them yet!

I think you'd be surprised.

All I did was wipe down the surface with tar remover then carefully put them into place with the help of a hair dryer to help it Bend over the sill

I can get some pics if it helps

Thanks Alex, hmmm i was hoping they were a bit wider to cover more of the sill from front to back I have to admit. As my polos silver too, Im not sure the carbon fibre look will go with it, but I definitely dont want metat ones.

You can buy clear sill covers which do cover more of the sill opening. However, they do get dirty very quickly so you will find yourself cleaning them constantly. You may prefer these as you can hardly tell that they are in place.
