polo cd player cable number ???

Help,
Polo twist 54 plate with beta radio and cassette I bought a single cd player fitted it to beta radio with existing cables coming out of the back but the cd player doesen't work or even power up.I went to a vw main dealer and they say I need a seperate cable which powers up the cd player part number 6x00051734A which they no longer stock!! I have trawled the internet ebay shops etc etc without success where can I obtain this lead from please ????? Stuck with a cd player that I cant use ! thanks
