clutch and selector shaft seal

Hi all I have a polo 6n2 1.4 16v (75bhp) x reg. the selector shaft seal needs replacing aswel as the clutch I was going to have a go at doing it but was hoping to get a bit of advice about it first.

Any tips on doing the clutch?

also whats the best way to do the selector shaft seal?

Your best to do the selector shaft seal with the gearbox off

It needs to be hooked out then driven in with a 17mm deep socket

As for the clutch, the Haynes manual is very helpful for this.

wanted to try and get started this evening and tomorrow, no Haynes will get to me in time that's why im asking for pics

Halfords stock them on the shelves...

Besides, its not just a set of pics. Its about 3 full chapters to cover driveshafts, gearbox, clutch, engine mounts etc.
