I'm considering replacing the upper and lower part of the column trim steering.
I uninstall both parts and report the parts number:

-Lower (7): 6C0 858 599
-Upper (5): 6C0 858 560 / 6C0 858 560A

But on the ETKA those reference appears right under the part number I quote:

-Lower: 6C0 858 559 82V
-Upper: 6C0 858 560 A82 V

Parts are in titanium black

Are the new references compatible with the older one ?

The drainage pipe drains the water that can collect in the recess behind the tailgate hatch handle - the water should drain to the outside of the car onto the rear bumper and then down onto the ground. This is the factory design used on the mk7 and mk7.5 Golf. However, be aware on the mk7 / mk7.5 Golf that over a period of time, the black rubber grommet can perish, resulting in the bottom of the drainage pipe draining water into the tailgate.

The modification by @ciclo in the picture shows the drainage pipe is long enough to protrude slightly beyond the rubber grommet, so the pipe should be long enough to continue draining the water out onto the bumper rather than into the tailgate if the rubber grommet fails in the future.

Thanks it confirms my prediction. Thats why tailgates rust on VW cars, no drainage pipe, no wax on inside

Hi,
Can you tell me what type of screw bit is required to remove the tailgate lock mechanism on a polo (6R) partnumber 6R0827505B, please?

Is it a M8 torx? Or XZN M6? or ?

Thanks

Thanks Peter,

The part I need guidance on is what screwdriver bit would open the tailgate lock screws?
From the schematic on https://www.lllparts.co.uk/en/interior/ ... -9b9-60646.

I'm ordering part 27 (the lock), but need to know how to get the screws out --> part 28. What is the bit I need, I do not have a bit for it in my toolbox.

I can't add images to the post ... maybe this shows it better

Thanks

It's an 8mm XZN bolt (12-toothed head)

Cool thanks,

Maybe this is a stupid question, is a spline bit the same as a XZN ?

I can find 8M spline bits but not XZN.
Any idea on where to buy one from.

Thanks again.

Does someone know what size is the turbo end flange ( exhaust side - downpipe size) for the 1.6 tdi ? Would like to pre-order one
Image
Need the flange for making a custom downpipe
Edit: 2.25" ID is the correct flange.
