Just to add, my polo 6n2 is factory standard height. Its not lowered and im not planning on lowering it it. So would these wheels in the above post still fit? Im just worried about the tyres rubbing on the arches. Im just hoping i can take my 13" steels off and just put on the 195 45 15 straight on without spacers adaptors etc. Let me know if there is more to it. Thanks again.

195/45 is standard GTI size so they will fit no problem and not rub.

I noticed 195/45/15 tyres are quite pricey.
And I noticed that it's cheaper to buy 195/50/15.
But my question again is, if I were to not use the standard gti size of 195/45/15, then would 195/50/15 be accepetable?
Again the 6n2 is standard height and I don't plan to lower it.
will the 195/50/15 be okay and be a straight fir with no rubbing on the arches?
or would i need the arches rolled?
So summarizing, what's safer or better and will not cause me any problems?
195/45/15 or 195/50/15
Thanks,
Kish.

195/50/15 are ok but they will put the speedo out a little
They will fit with no rubbing though on an unlowered car.

Hi Alex.
Do u recommend i stick with the 195/45/15 on my standard 6n2 1.0 polo? And avoid the 195/50/15 then?

Its up to you mate - you can run 50 profile tyres with no problem. You just have to remember the speedo will be a bit faster than what your road speed is

I decided to buy the BBS RX2 wheels for my standard polo 1.0 instead of the other wheels in the picture.
So is 195/45/15 still the best tyre to use?
I dont want tyres to thin, i want to fill the arch with about 1 to 2 inch of space left.
Has anybody got picture of their bbs rx2 alloys so i can see what colours u have sprayed them?
Thanks,
Kish.

Hi Alex,
I have a question that just arose now.
My friend told me that if I put the 15" BBS RX2 wheels on my standard POLO 1.0 and remove the 13" steel wheels, that i will need new springs etc because the car will increase in height?
is he talking gobbeldy gook?
Is it safe for me to just jack up the car, remove the 13" steel wheels and then put on the 15" bbs rx2 wheels?
Or are there other things i need?
Thanks for all your help so far, i look forward to your reply.

Rubbish
The tyre profile is relative between the 13s and the 15s so the height will not change.
Yes perfectly safe
