H&R 25/40 on GTI Owners Question

Hi All,

I am calling out to anyone with the H&R Sport springs on their GTI with standard dampers.

Has anyone had trouble? I have read of a couple of instances on another forum of owners having leaking shock absorbers fairly quickly after installing even though the vehicle was still almost new.

So far I haven't been able to get any clear reports on a standard GTI. Would really like to hear if anyone's had them work fine for 10 or 20,000miles and lastly if they caused any noise issues in the car.

Just wondering what the price to pay is for the nice drop and look. :)

Thanks for your time.

Or how about you pay for the genuine VW lowering springs.

Price includes fitting and you shouldn't have any worrys should they go wrong?

Installed on mine, no problems what so ever since they was installed 10k miles ago :)
I think you run into problems when you go for the lower springs 35/50

Also vw's on lowering springs dont go low enough 8)

Unfortunately they aren't available here in Australia through VW(they won't even order them for me), so sourcing them is difficult and fairly expensive.

I actually already bought some H&Rs before hearing of issues and now have cold feet on installing them.

I think I might just import the vw eibachs though, then I at least won't be paranoid. :-)
