Hi all
Was thinking of recently about painting my calipers
Dad recommended Hammerite paint.
Anyone else done this?

I've done mine with Hammerite direct-to-rust and the finish is still really good 5 months and many pressure washes later. The tin says '8 year protection' - if that's true it'll see the car out to the scrapheap. A small tin will be more than enough, I used less than half a tin on four calipers with two coats.
It says direct to rust but obviously you'll have to get your hands dirty with a brass-bristle brush (the ones shaped like toothbrushes are good for calipers) to remove all of the loose rust and create a smooth surface for a good finish, I used a dremel which was brilliant but don't forget face mask and goggles.
Hope this helps.

Hammerite is fine. I've used it a few times, no real need to buy special caliper paint.
