Jom coilover query

Hi all!
I got a set of jom coilovers on the polo gti 6n2 the other day to replace the coilovers which were leaking. However the fronts I am concerned about, as installed them but I had around 15 threads poking out the top of the top mount... Is this a problem? I've been thinking and I don't think it does. I tried to leave around 5 threads ontop but then it wouldn't bolt in at the bottom..
