Dear All,
I have a polo year 2005 (9NZ5), I have owed it from new and from the time I got it, I have not been able to install remote central locking properly - that's 8years! Every summer I say right, this summer i'm going to fix it - please help me make 2013 the year.
I have been able to tap into the drivers interior locking switch - my remote will happy lock and open on this Brown/green wire I have found (I have used a resistor etc. The only problem with this wire is that it does not dead lock etc. If you dead lock with the key you then cant open with the remote. (I found this wire coming out of the drives door and tapped it there.)
I have read many web pages, they all say the same thing - use the blue/white wire. I have looked at my haynes manual schematic and it seems that would be the right wire to use. I have found a blue/white wire coming out of the drivers door. I have tried to do this, it does nothing. (I swapped the wire coming off my remote to the interior locking switch to the blue/white).
Is the blue/white wire coming out of the drivers door the wrong one? The other web pages speak of convenience unit - I cant find mine!! I have a big sqaure box with many wires, but no blue/white.
I have read to remove the heater vent in drivers footwell and it can be found on its own bracket above the break and clutch - I cant see anything! have I missed it?
where is the blue/white wire in my model of car? I found one coming out the door, is that not the right one?
Also, I would like to install remote start for the winter, where can I find the tach wire?
Thanks.
