New user!! Sam's 9n3 TDI 70

Been on UK Polos a while but this is my first proper post so here goes.
Part ex'd the beloved X reg 6n2 1.4 TDI we've had from brand new for something a bit newer (9n3 1.4 TDI). Really happy with it so far but got a few questions. Currently under a 90 day warranty with the garage I bought off and need to get any problems sorted before it runs out.
Alloys have been refurbished but not very well, starting to bubble and haven't been lacquered (wasn't told about this upon purchase)
Low pitched whirring/grinding sound at about 40-50mph and when turning right which I believe could be the wheel bearing on its way?
Fuel economy doesn't seem right, seems to be drinking a little more than the 6n2? (same MPG on paper).
Can anyone help?
