Depends on what grille you mean mate.
Polos above the "S" trim automatically have a gloss black upper grille or a GTI honeycomb one.
Polos with the with the S trim mostly have the plastic one but a retrofit would be simple and inexpensive.
If you are on about the lower grille (I.e where the fog lights are) I'm unsure as to if whether there is a gloss black one available. However I know that they can be "wrapped" I know one chap on here who did it to his R-Line and often posts regularly on the forum.
Hope this helps

P.S I think you might of posted this thread twice by accident!

Thanks for reply mate, its on a 2013 gti will be having all the grilles done (round the fogs and the honeycomb) one way or another just to stop them going that horrible weathered grey. Plus they will match the roof which will be gloss black vinyl in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks again

Don't know if your referring to me or someone else, but I wrapped mine. It was in carbon but you can pick up a decent enough roll of gloss vinyl for around a tenner if not less. Takes about 10 minutes maybe a little more to each side and looks great when done. Simple job of removing the fog surrounds, then heating the vinyl on with a hair dryer/ warm air blowing thing! Strangely been considering getting them along with the rear diffuser painted gloss black, make sure you post pics when done!

I was thinking about doing this but was unsure about how you get it to sit flush considering the grilles have a lot of curves. . .and the centre one has holes etc! :O

I was planning on getting it done but the guy told me if i got it painted it would get damaged fast with stones etc so wrapping would most likely be the best option
