My car wont start!

i put the key in the igntion when turned the dash lights come on and all my lights etc work but when i go to start the car there is nothing... my battery has got plenty of charge and my immobiliser is fine, i have ran the starter motor straight from the battery and it starts the car fine and i can bump start it too, im thinking its something to do with my ignition coil or key barrel? if anyone has had the same problem or knows anything about this i would appreciate the help

VAGCOM may point you to an open circuit somewhere? Have you had a chance to scan it yet?

Yeah i gave it a scan yesterday and nothing came up :/

Could be the ignition switch

How do i test the switch? and where abouts is it located? thankyou for the help!

It's located in the ignition key housing. You'll need a multimeter to test the voltages.
