My NEW Polo GTi, induction, but with different cone?

Hi guys!

I have recently bought a new Polo GTi, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281177160395? ... 1423.l2649

It's a great step up from my 1.4 S 80 :D

Think I got a fair bargain as well?

The alloys are being refurbed the end of next week and I have repainted the calipers so am getting there slowly!

A question I do have... I asked a while ago, if the K&N induction kit I had for my old Polo, would, with some adapters, be able to work on my new one. The answer seemed to be no, but after looking at it in more detail, am I crazy to think, as long as the correct adapters are used, there is no reason it would not work?

I also understand that I would need a smaller filter (or stocking, I have read?!) for a filter for the SAI.

Thanks so much for your help in advance.

Sam

Hi mate, I have a K&N 57i 0420 model, I get what you are saying about the heatsink but would like know if I need a phisicaly bigger filter size or if I can just fit my existing filter with only adapters if required :-)

Thanks mate, what did you end up doing in the end? It occurred to me that it might be better to go with a K&N panel filter but wonder if it makes as much induction noise :-)

Okay mate many thanks for your help.

I am from West Wales and your advice on not going for a panel filter has helped me decide against it I think, especially when I know what a Cone filter can sound like!
