Just recently had my tdi remapped
i hadnt driven it much standard which i should have
so i just want to compare with those who have tdi's..
what do you get to a full tank...or if you do a fixed journey each day....how many miles and fuel used?
i think my economy isnt too good which is why i am asking

I get on average around 450-500 miles till reserve without driving particularly economically, I was disappointed too coming from a PD engine as these CR's need to be driven differently to get the best out of them, unlike the PD's where you could just chug along all day without seeing under 55mpg!

No not too bad, especially considering its been remapped, We do 40 mway miles a day in this most of the time at 90 and then about 15 miles a day pottering around town! I got an average 56.3mpg from her when going up to Scotland (230 miles) and I was doing 100+ most of the way there, 4 adults and boot full with luggage so I suppose it's not too disappointing.

Money! Same reason the 9N and 9N3's had rubber in the storage compartments and better supporting seats! VW is going a bit astray from what they are supposed to be, that's coming from a 17 year old. Although I have been brought up around VW/Audis all my life!

Try eddie-gt/eddie-nl for the retro fits he's highly regarded on the Mk5golfgti forum, I thinking of doing an R-Line special on mine so I can cover the sill dent with sill covers haha but I don't really like the look of them, wanna do something like an SEL look instead.

I never get less than 500miles to a tank. I often get 550, and the best was 635

I should say that I don't ever fill up to the brim, 3/4 of a tank usually and plus there probably 50 miles in the reserve so all around the same numbers!
