Coolant loss Help please :)

i was woundering if anyone could help with an issue I have water "leak" its using quiet abit tbf and the light flashs at me : | so I get out look at the expansion bottle to see its nearly empty : \ as soon asi remove the cap hot slowly obvs lol the bottle fills back to max also dose this when its cold and dosnt go drop stays at max so i carnt put anymore in if you get me its killing me now need it sorting I have had 4 people look at it and nobody can tell me whats going on annoying had a coolant pressure test done 10bar in to the system and it didn't move so he tells me if it had a leak it would show on the gauge buy loosing pressure iv changed the expansion bottle and cap as was told mine was fooked but still the problems there I really hope somebody can help me out before a trip to VW £££££££ in live in Bradford west Yorkshire if somebody would be kind enough to sort this

Common problem is radiator leaking, having mine replaced this weekend, but usually that would show up on a pressure test as mine did, even when pressure tested it still only leaked very slowly though so could be this

hi thanks for the reply and sombody eles has said check rad i did have a loook last time as was under car couldnt see any wet patchs at all but will double check as its doing my head in lol

Rad is most common to leak down the passenger side end tank you will see water marks running down, but as said a leak would be expected to show up on the pressure test, does the system pressure more when you rag the car or when you drive normally?

cheers for the responce mate ill get under car tnyt prior to trip to VW tomorrow lol have a nosey i dont get what you mean mate lol if i drive it steady the problem above happens also when its warm its rough on hot starts :/ see what happens after the weekend needs sorting doing my head in want upgrades not repairs

Yeh as has been said passenger side of rad. Very common issue, did mine within a week of having it.

cheers guys iv just been to car on my dinner and al though the ground was damp they was a weter patch if you get me
also opened the bonnet after driving up to asda and it was above the max line and was slowly droping really confusing is this anybody shed any light ?

my coolant light came on after a 100 mile ragging around the peak district, topped it up and been fine ever since. not sure if its a sign of a leak or not though
