Cant say I have much trouble with Beemers really... but there's not too many round these parts!
Nowwwww.... fiestas micras ka's* cinquecentos corrolas galaxies* audi 1.8Ts saab 2.5Tdis............... you're all gonna die
((* these mental giants winning the day's award for fantastic timing of your pulling-out maneuver, einstein, now try locating the goddamn accelerator award for significant negative contributions to road safety))
even the nova and saxo drivers round here, they may do unspeakable things to their vehicles, but they seem to have mastered the basic controls and concepts at least... yknow, like pulling out into a safe gap and then accelerating to speed.
Oh yeah, and I forget what car it was today (Alfa 156 GTV? always something powerful) but another f***er who doesn't know their speed limits has been added to the list. That speed camera on the road between bassets pole and the M42 is gonna cause an accident one day... yet another t**t in front of me decided that 54mph (which I was happily following at) was too fast on spotting the camera and they had need to sharply brake to 47........ aaaaaaaaaargh. Gonna get a pot of paint and draw a big (60) sign on it.... oh... except i cant because its a freaking front-facing truvelo crapbox. probably a fake too.
not as bad as the joker in the volvo that suddenly "realised" they were under a 30mph limit though. From 65. What?!
not to mention the smart car parked in the left lane of a "clearway" 40-limit dual carriageway, about 50 yards before the right lane was coned off... signed about 300 yards before. Right where all the traffic would be channeled "towards" that car by merging left - and anyone trying to dodge right would be blocked by hangers-on. It was on the exit of a bend too, in the centre of the lane. I can only assume it was stolen-abandoned because surely no-one who had the mental capacity to pass their test could be THAT stupid (however, it was parked outside the business which happened to have it's logo emblazoned across the car's bodywork). Just because it's a small car doesn't mean it won't cause severe accident damage if someone hits it at, oh, say 25mph..
I pulled up behind with my hazard flashers on (4am, mind) and set-to to write a rather profane parking ticket, but alas, no paper in the car. If I was feeling more evil, I might have tested it's handbrake vs my clutch...
might not even have been so bad, but across the other side of the dual carriageway, and about 100 yards down on the same side as the smart, were perfectly good service roads for the houses adjoining it, with no restrictions in place. bloody lazy!

if only i knew why it was there... what it's protecting... apart from the layby that's after it..... which i've never, ever seen anyone parked in, and isnt big enough for anything more than a long wheelbase transit (ie nothing *really* slow)....
i dont tend to go that route anymore anyway - i figured out it's 2.5 miles (or 33%) longer than the alternative. just had somewhere different to start from that day
with all the hassle, its a good thing there aren't so many BMWs around here
now, my neighbour does drive a 5-series estate, but i cant say ive ever encountered him on the road.. he'd be the only one, too.

Urgh, BMW drivers are idiots. In any situation, they will believe that they own the road and that the rest of us mere mortals should know their every intention and be ready to leap aside to satisfy their whims..
It's incredible, I can go from being pissed off with BMW drivers around here hogging all the road and pushing me into the ditch, or hammering up behind horses and bicycles, overtaking them on blind bends and practically pushing them off the road, to being pissed off with BMW drivers on the M4 who think it's a really good idea to overtake me because I'm in a small car, then brake to a slower speed than I was doing anyway...
I think the worst case of BMW attitude that I've heard of was when one BMW drove into the back of a horse at a stupid speed on a country road, breaking it's legs and requiring it to be put down. Now, if that wasn't bad enough, another one came along, stopped, beeped his horn, got out of the car and strolled up to the group of people trying to settle this poor horse and it's rider, and demanded that they moved the tonne and a half of immobilised horse so that he could be on his way.... that just made me feel sick, it really did..
Anyway, I think that's enough of a rant. Never, ever let me buy a BMW...
