12V ignition live how to

This is a very simple how to which might be useful to some of you for satnavs, carkits and road angels etc.
I asked not to have the bury handsfree fitted when I collected my car as it looks rubbish, I dont use the phone in the car and I wanted to run my tomtom in the right corner. In my old golf I added a terminal to the 75x under the dashboard for an extra switched live but this is not an option on the polo.
Instead I used a fuse piggy back to take 12V from the cigarette lighter fuse which is switched live and with a 15A fuse has plenty to spare for a satnav and importantly only powers the lighter so won't affect any other systems .

From this I have run a wire to the end panel of the dash and to an inline cigarette lighter with the earth going via a ring terminal to the steel of the dash frame.

I've put bullet connectors in the live and earth wires to make fitting easier. A tomtom lead is plugged permanently into the socket with the wire running between the dash and the A pillar. The spur and the socket are separately fused so there are no issues and the socket cable tied to the dash frame to stop rattles.
The result is much tidier than having cables running around the cabin and leaves the 12V socket free for whatever else.
