Hiya, new to this forum and had my polo since august. so far Ive done a few little things and now started working on getting a bit more power out of it. so with more power thought it would be a good idea to get bigger brakes. Anyone got any good ideas of upgrades, I've heard some things about using tt brakes and also octavia vrs but my knowledge on this doesn't stretch far! any help would be appreciated..cheers!

312mm callipers and carriers from some VAG cars the ones I know fit are Mk4 golf TT S3. I there are some more but they are for certain.
There is a guy on ebay who does them for £270 with discs and pads.
Would be great if someone could do a sticky on all the fitment for these as this is one of the most asked questions hope this helps.
Hope this helps

I just received that exact ebay buy today in the post. Have a few things to do to the car but am going to look at fitting them tomorrow. The one thing I'm unsure about is whether the standard brake line will screw straight into the new calipers. And I hope the standard 16" wheels fit over them ok, I do have 2 17's sitting around if they don't. I'll take a few photos and stuff if I go ahead and fit them tomorrow.

Yea they fit just snug over the wheel I have about 10mm gap from calliper to the ID of the wheel.

Bolted straight on, look well and stop well. You'll need a bleed kit and a mate to help out but it's an easy enough job.

I've looked at the 312mm ones but still got the standard 16" ugly Monzas so wasn't sure they'd fit under them or have to wait until I put 17s on them. Cheers for the info (y)

That's the set I bought comes with everything you need to fit them to the car came With EBC discs and pads too.
They looked brand new out of the box. and worth every penny in my eyes.

312mm will fit under monza wheels.

Best easy bolt on brake upgrade you can do.

I fitted the kit just before Christmas there, fits well under the 16" monzas.
