Hi all,

Just purchased a polo r-line today and should get it tomorrow or Tuesday.

Just need some advice on the lights, i take it they aren't the bright white as its the style edition 2013?

Can someone give me the bulb sizes for the front lights and fogs please, going to order them asap to replace the standards hopefully they can take them without the canbus warnings, had a quick look round the forum but couldnt really see any similar threads.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Chris

Hey Chris
Do you know if you have the Single or the Twin headlight system?

Have a read of this:- http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... lb#p472149

If it's the R-Line Style then it will have the single Hi/Lo beam bulb so needs a H4 I used Osram Nightbreakers and got them aligned at VW and they were a great improvement over stock.

Hi guys yeah think its the h4 buls or h7's, looking at the Phillips blue (legal) tints or the osrams which would you recommend?

Getting it tomorrow quite excited but just dropped my 2009 Volvo c30 r-design off tonight, going to miss her!
Had to get rid though there was a few problems that were going to cost a fortune!

Going to get the yellow fog bulbs as well, had them in the Volvo and looked pretty good. Dont want to go overboard but just a few tweaks to make the car my own.

How you guys finding the cars so far?

Sorry meant to write back to this, not sure if they are double or single i take it the doubles are the h7s or the single h4's?

As you can probably tell i'm useless with cars especially when it comes to the simple mods.

I'll check the book in the car tomorrow night hopefully will tell me as i want to order the replacements for all front bulbs so i can get them done hopefully this weekend,

Same with the fogs the link for the bulbs mentions the fogs are either h4 or h11 but dont want to go ahead and order the wrong bulbs and have tp send them back.

Other extras i want are the mudflaps, car mats as im not sure what or if i will get mats with it and wind deflectors.

Finally might replace the footwells with coloured led no error canbus led's. That will do for now i think maybe a tailpipe cover depending if you can see the standard exhaust at the back :)

Kl i'll go with the osrams then, the volvo forums always mentioned them over the philips.

Hi all,

Got the car tonight, took it out for a spin there, good laugh, its like a wee mini good with the corners/steering.

Think its the single mains with the separate indicator bulbs and the small 501's.

Is it just h7's i need then for the mains then? Also according to the bulbs list on here the fog lights are marked as h8/h11's i take it either or would be ok to replace the standards?

The 501's that are standard are like a cheap lighter! They need replaced asap! Ordered some mats with the embroidered vw emblems on them there, hopefully get them for the weekend.
Not sure whether to go for the ebay led error free wedges or the osram 501's, has any of you guys used the cheap led's?
