Im also wonderin, if on a 1.0 weather it would make ANY difference. Cause Im not sure if it would, and I have read that it may not.

It probably gives you 1 bhp more, gives out a nice rasp sound.
Is your 1.0l multi point injection or single point?
im selling it because I’ve bought a GTI!

Really? Cause I just read that some 1.0L because the engine is so small it makes no difference in sound.
I have no idea what it is. Its a 1.0 L T ('99) 3 DR if that helps. 6N.
air filters!

it would defo make a sound difference because the engine is not restricted in sucing in air and the sound is not muffled by the old air intake.

Sadly I dont, about 2hours away.
Is there any difference in Air filters by brand? Or do all air-filters do pretty much the same thing, by the same amount.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1
Cause that is £18.

K&N Airfilter Kit £68 - 2 much, but anyway.
How much would P&P be for that anyway? I will get it off you if I dont see any at Max Power (goin 4th July) if you still have it.

You'll be best off with a replacement induction kit, otherwise I'd get a replacement k&n panel filter, but would definitely not go for the standard air filter cone kit that's open to the atmosphere - it'll reduce the power.
am going to test a 1.4 8v induction kit soon on my bird's car - this won't be too expensive. will post the results / prices soon! (it should fit the 1.0L if it fits the 1.4)

Okay Im not gonna bother with it now. I was just doing it for a cheap thing, that WONT effect insurance (being 17) and for a little sound change. But induction kits, more pricy, more insurance. And yeh Im sure it will do wonders on a 1.4, but not on a 1.0.
