6N2 1.416v/1.616v gti

iv been looking on the internet but I can get nothing. I have a 1.4 16v 6n2 the 75bhp and my mate has a 1.6 16v gti 100bhp. so last week he snapped a bolt in . his block when changing his head gasket and just got a new engine with manifolds the lot.
iv been asked if I want any of the stuff of his old engine. I know that the inlet manifold will fit on and I will have to make some brackets for the throttle body. but iv had a look about and my engine and the gti have the same bore just a different stroke. so I was wondering if things like the cams, crank shaft, con rods and the pistons will fit in to my engine ? when you look at them the engines look the same the only difference is that the gti says 1.6 on it and has a red rocker cover and mine says 1.4 and is just metal.
so would anyone be able to give me some information thank you
