Does anybody know the part number I would need to order the chrome steering wheel trims that you get with the 2013 polo GTI?

Well its a brand new car so I have the steering wheel that I got with it but everywhere seems to be saying that the chrome pieces will fit it but I can't find the part number, there are some ones on ebay but didn't want to buy off there

I don't know what epuipment is in the UK special models. (And you guys do have A LOT of those ) Bur did a quick Google search and can tell you that you need the GTI steering wheel too...

I have it in my BlueGT and can only recomend getting it. It is soooooo nice to drive with.

Ebay will yield some results, the GTi parts will not fit, search for Polo 2009, quite a few chrome bits for the Polo steering wheel on there. GTi has a different steering wheel, although it may be the part on the steering where the optional multi function buttons would be. There are standard for all steering wheels.

Doesn't the Match Edition have the normal, non-leather, wheel? Like this one:


I've a feeling that you can swap out the wheel for this one without any issue and without having to get a new airbag:

This is the leather trimmed version, as fitted standard in the SEL and Bluemotion.

There's also the normal MFSW:

But apparently you need a new airbag? Although they look very similar to me.

And the GTI/R-Line/BlueGT wheel, with or without buttons

And again, I've a feeling you'd need a new airbag but they look very similar to me.

Maybe someone more in the know can help?

JUst to add to what vc-10 said about switching wheels. They are all interchangable, it doesn't have to be a polo either. Any wheel that looks like that, with the same shaped airbag is able to fit in the car. so most vw wheels 2009 - 2013.
A new airbag isnt necessary either, you can put the same airbag back in fine.
As far as the metal trims go, if your looking for one with the metal trims id get a vw scirocco wheel, they are flat bottom and have 3 metal trims Otherwise youd need to find a non multifunctional gti wheel, which are hard to find.
Have a look on ebay and stuff, I have one for sale if you are looking for a used one, but im in no rush to sell it as I quite like it.
