Hello just joined this forum, hopefully you guys can help!

I have 18" TSW Alloys that I had on my VW Golf back when I lived in the States.

Long story short, I moved here and I now have a 2011 VW Polo

Im wondering if 18'' alloys will fit on a VW Polo or will they be too big & hit the wheel arches?

Im thinking since the polo is much smaller that the biggest will probably be about 17" that you can fit on it?

8x18" ET35 will fit the Polo perfectly.

I hope it was a Mk 4 Golf you had... Because that runs a 5x100 bolt pattern like the Polo. Mk 5, 6 & 7 Golf's are 5x112.

18x8 will fit on a VW Polo?

I had spoken to a VW dealer & someone at a tyre supplier and they seemed to be against 18'' wheels on a polo mentioning that the wheel arches would rub/catch while turning. I'd be glad if thats not the case.

As far as insurance would anyone know how much on average monthly payments are raised when you add modifications like new alloys?

To run 18s you need to run a tyre profile of 35mm to keep the speed ratio in tact. Ride will be harsh on such a low profile but its not impossible. They wont catch unless you are running silly lows.

As for insurance, im with admiral and my premium didn't change at all when I added after market alloys to my insurance. Hope that helps :D

If you keep the ratio between tire and rim you could install 19 ".
