Flash Red - Polo 6R, Exessive stone chipping?

I recently bought a 'Flash Red' 1.2 70PS MODA, 2010. There was a fair amount of stone chippings on the bonnet when I bought it but I thought this was normal / acceptable due to the color and the car being 4 years old.

The car had 1 previous owner (mobility). My driving is 50/50 split with inner city roads and a country dual lane dual carriageway.

The reason I post here is because I have checked 2 other Flash red MODA polo's, one being 2009 and another being 2011 registration and both of them had no where near the stone chipping I have. I would say compared to both 09 and 11 have about 75-80% LESS than my vehicle....

I have been driving the car for 3 weeks now and I would say ive picked up a further 15-20 stone chips........

I would call this excessive and quite severe and looking for other opinions?

These images are only of a small area of bonnet.... the roof is also badly effected along the windscreen line.

Not quite as many but my 2011 red is pretty bad on the bonnet.

It's all about leaving a good gap between your car and the one in front. I've done 20,000 miles in my GTI, mostly on motorways and my bonnet only has 2-3 stonechips. Same with my bumper.

I just really try and take care!
