Hi. Can anyone tell me if the new polo will still have the dashboard mounted device to connect the phone via Bluetooth? I really hope phone connectivity for making and receiving calls (not just streaming music) has now been integrated with the radio/nav system. I am new to VWs and am very interested in buying a new BlueGT, but can't make sense of the press releases in relation to my question.

"All UK models offer Bluetooth telephone connectivity and USB media-in, while a navigation system for the 6.5-inch full-colour touchscreen is optional from SE trim for £700."

The new audio setup is from the Golf, and the blue tooth should be nicely built in - another reason why I have also waited for the new 2014 models to be available...which according to Volkswagen should be today - April 23rd, although their website still shows the old models on the configurator...

I spoke to a guy from Warrington VW and told me that bluetooth would be built in, which is good to hear.

Does anyone know when the new models are out for UK order? I thought the 23rd but, looking on VW there is no mention of it, nor is the new brochure available..

I pre-ordered a week ago, and it officially went in to the system on the 23rd April.

BT is standard on the new Polo. I've gone for Mirrorlink over the built in Nav, but I'm holding off on which handset combo works best with VW before committing to a handset.

MirrorLink is a bit like Bluetooth in that it's a common standard. I know that my Sony Z1 is compatible, and I'm sure other Android phones will be too.

I've read there are minimal android requirements, so not every phone will be enabled. I'm also hoping vw are implementing Mirrorlink 1.1, which adds third party app support.

Do you know whether Start/Stop technology is standard on all new Polo models? Do you know your expected delivery date?

The online configurator, at the time of typing, has not yet been updated to reflect the new models etc. but I was told it was imminent!

If you go on http://www.vw.de, the polo config has been there for a few weeks, there are slight differences but it's pretty easy to navigate; use chrome for auto translation.

The documentation I've seen Start Stop and Brake Regeneration is standard on all engines inc the 1.0ltr 3-cylinder engines. I've been told to expect delivery late July/Early Aug.
