So we have always been fans of the VW Polo, the first one we had was a 1997 1.4 cl then a 1998 Golf, then another Polo (1998 1.4cl again)
After that we had a 2000 Polo, new shape before the round headlight one.

Now after a few years of Defender driving (the Defender is staying) my wife wanted another Polo.

I started looking at 2005 on facelift models, progressed to 2008 after finding nothing and then ended up at SKF last week buying a 2012 1.2 Match 3 door in red.

It's a lovely car, so well made, my wife chose it but it does worry me that the little 1.2 60hp engine vibrating away in the engine bay won't be enough....l had a short test drive and it drove perfectly OK though.

The dealer said these are fine, my wife says it seems great. But my Triumph Herald had 60hp and that was made in 1969.

Well an update we just did 25 mile trip and it seems great, actually l ended up setting the speed alarm as it is so quiet that it's easy for the speed to creep up.

And we passed about fifteen speed cameras on the 25 mile journey.

Plus we got stopped by the Police as the car was coming up no tax, no insurance and no keeper!
We collected it on Friday, seems it is not in the system yet.
After a few checks they let us go with a producer.

It didn't help that the dealer had forgotten to put the tax disc in, l checked and we have a few days grace, but a visible tax disc would have been proof of insurance.
