iv recently lowered my 6n2 with 60mill springs on sport shocks and theres no clearance on front right but front left is fine.

i measured the wheels and it seems the right is more forward to the front giving less clearance.

antone else noticed this? its the same on my old polo. i have now put 30mill springs and they ride no different to the 60 mill so have wasted another 100 pounds

please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

What tyres have you got fitted?

I think you must have something wrong with the front end setup. Its possible your subframe misaligned

well i measured from the centre of the wheel cap horizontally to the front bumper on two polo 6n2`s cars and theres neally an inch difference which is giving no clearance. it does seem odd tho. anyone running low with sport shocks on 16`s having problems with front right?

I was low on 16s on my first GTI and that had no problem

I do think your subframe may be off of where it should be and it's causing you to have an offset hub

195/40/16 is correct. You shouldnt have any issues on those.

subframe is apparently ok, were u running the cheap yellow ones on ebay for around 150 pounds like me?

while iv got ur attention im trying to decide between ta tecknix brand new or used ap coilovers for same price of 190 pounds, which would u go for. i was quite happy with my old ta`s but the ride was firm. are the ap`s that much better?

No I ran h&r

The ta's and the ap's are much the same. Personally I don't like coils. More hassle than it's worth

I would personally save up and buy a good brand like eibach, h&r or similar

ok thanks for the input, neally bought some ap`s.

bought some 30 mill lowering springs the change for the 60`s that were on to try and get some more clearance and its no different, maybe 2 mill higher so that was another 100 with fitment thrown away. surely a 30mill springs should be higher than a 60?

30 should be a lot higher than a 60 drop

for some reason theres no difference, the guy who fitted said he measured the springs and they were differnt lengths but on the car theres no difference. wtf?

Depends what weight rating you got. If the springs are meant for a heavier/lighter car they will sit differently to how they would on the correct car
