Knocking noise and ESP light flashing

Hello, when going round right corners usually with a little bump at slow speeds (30mph) I sometimes get a scraping/knocking noise and then the ESP light flashes a few times. Just wondering if anybody has had this before or knows what it could be?
The car isn't lowered, and I have taken it round country roads with right hand bends, bumps and carrying more speed but I don't have the issues. I've had a look at the under side of the car and can't see any damage or scraping on the sump guard for example.
Think its worth getting it booked in to be looked at? Car is still under a year old.
Cheers
Ben

Its been booked in for next month, but since its going to be a while they have advised me to get my roadside assistance to come out and check the car is safe to drive so they should be arriving within the next hour.

It sounds like a faulty sensor/something loose on one of the wheels making the car think its losing traction

Had the same problem a few weeks ago which then turned into my car bouncing around when going over bumps. Took the damper off and behold, leaking damper! Fixed under warranty thank god. Had both front dampers replaced just to be safe.

I had an issue with the Polo where it had picked up a small pebble that had become lodged between the brake calliper and the rear of the disc. At slow speeds you could hear it clattering and grinding against the disc/brakes. It went away at higher speeds. I just popped the calliper bracket off and found the pebble sitting at the bottom. (one of those odd faults that sounds far more serious than it actually was) I didn't have any problems with the ESP warning light but if a bit of debris got stuck between the sensor and the ABS index rotor that might cause it. It only took me 15 mins to have a little look and saved a trip to the garage. Might be worth a look, though with you saying it becomes worse with more lock, probably be unrelated. (just a thought)
