Respray quotes

anybody ever had a respray job done( a good one) and if so how much did it set you back. im lookin at it for my new G but i havnt a clue what its gunna cost me

I'm currently looking at getting quotes for a respray and bodywork on my blue GT.
The problem I'm having is because the car is off the road with no engine, I cant get a bodyshop to come round to have a look. I will probably have to trailer it to get a quote etc.
From speaking to a few places, it usually depends how much prep work yours need which determines the price. One place quoted around £1000 for a full outside respray and £1300 if I wanted it with all the engine bay, door shuts etc.
Like people said in the other topic, see their work and speak to people who have been had resprays done before.

Where are you based?
I had mine resprayed recently at a bodyshop near Cardiff, they did a great job and it didn't cost the earth either.
