1.2S high miles but incredible

We picked up a 2005 1.2S 12V 3dr in olympic blue today 1 owner from new with loads of history and bills to to back it up. The interior is like new. There are a couple of scuffs on the bodywork but nothing serious. Never driven the 1.2 three cylinder before but im really quite impressed with it. I was following my wife in our A3 2.0TDi sport and I didnt have too much trouble keeping up with her. Admittedly I had to rev it and maintain speed in the corners but bloody good fun. The thing is this car has done 140,000mls and has no interest in showing its miles. Very impressive.
We were told not to get the 1.2 as it couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding but its not bad at all in my opinion. Maybe they were referring to the 6V ?
