Hi all,

Since selling my trusty 9N 1.4 TDI Polo earlier this year I need another mile cruncher.
Been looking at 1.4s and the 1.9s. I didn't really have any performance issues with the 1.4 but always wanted to remap it but never did.

What is the 1.4 TDI Bluemotion like? I know its tax-free and afew aero mods, but is that it? Or should I just get the 1.9?

The bluemotion has a VNT turbo as opposed to the stone age wastegates used on the remainder of the 1.4 TDI models, so should have better spoolup and transient response. Bare in mind that the bluemotion also has a DPF, so will not be the best choice if you do a lot of short journeys (doesn't look like that'll be an issue in your case).

Not driven a bluemotion, but the standard 1.4 goes alright with a remap. Test drive a 1.9 and bluemotion back to back see what you think.
