Cupra Side skirts

Right, i just read up that you can fit Seat Ibiza Cupra Side Skirts to my MK4 Polo, Is this true, and if so how much are they to buy and does anyone have any pics of them? Cheers again.

iirc they are quite chunky looking but i dont know about the fitment

I'm sure Josh used to have them on his Mk4 ask him.... in fact, just give him some hassle anyway! :D its his fault i'm skint! (cough) stupid car tuning malarky(cough)

Well....

I was the first person in the UK to put them on a MK4 8)

I brought them back with me from Palma de Mallorca (so if you know someone who's going there on holiday, ask them to bring a set back... They only cost me about £65 for both of them! Over here they were £75 EACH plus VAT!)

Anyway, you need to cut 1" off the rear of each skirt (the bit towards the rear wheel arch, then trim the back plate.

Then it's a case of following the instructions that come with the skirts (although instead of welding pins to the original sills, we drilled and rivetted the plastic hangers on.

The only problem with them is that they are not smooth. They have a textured effect, which makes them look a bit funny when they are colour-coded. We rubbed mine down as much as we could before painting.

Anyway, IMHO they look great. Very OEM if you get what I mean. Different to the M3 style etc.

Beware though, you will have no jacking points available for the standard jack that comes with your car if you fit these skirts!
