6C USB Port not working with HTC One

Hi need some help please I have plugged my HTC One into the USB port using the cable I use to connect my phone to my PC for downloading content and its not bloody working, the USB option doesn't even show up on the touch screen in the car, I can connect to the phone via Bluetooth.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
