Peeling Arms!

Ah- my arms are peeling.... :shock:

Seriously though, can you take them arm things off? I was thinking of peeling the rest off and painting the surrounding bits with reflex silver.

Where the hell can you get reflex silver anyway? I think it would look nice if done just right.

the same things happened on the inside door handles on our mk5 :cry:

presume u can get new ones from vagparts/vw

r u talking aboot wiper arms? :?
if so at the bottom of the arms theres a round plastic cover flip them off and youll find 13mm nuts underneath take them off and the arm just wiggle off :D
u can buy reflex silver spray cans from a vw dealership dont know where else do them :D

yep i had mine relaced under vw warrenty. looks soo much better now. its rings and watches and the miss's nails i recon that scratch them and so the start to peel. the door handle inside we mean for those who dont know what we are talking about.!

same on mine too, not too bothered tho really it will happen unless u cut all your fingers off and drive once a month :lol:

yeah my bro's have started peeling! probably due to constant in and out use! can look quite tacky! my mates mondeo does it too! but then, well its a ford!

if your cars still in warenty they will replace them for you
to replace them its easy

flip the center cover of the arm handle to reveal 2 big gold screws
remove the screws
along the bottom of the door card is 2 torque screws u will need a t25 torque bit (little star shape thing )
starting from the bottom pull the door card u can just get your hands in at the bottom and pull like crazy
when remove get a philips driver and unscrew the 3 or 4 screws and the handle will remove
advice
do not over tighten the screws that hold the handle to the door card or u get little bulges in your new plastic handles and they look s**t
