Hi guys, thought it might be good to start making a list of VCDS tweaks and mods for the polo 6c as i believe its quite different from the 6r. Anyone got any good ones?

Yeah I second this too! There has to be some decent VCD mods out there. Must admit, have been thinking if some of the Golf MK7 tweaks would also have some chance of working on the 6C's because its practically the same kit inside!

Why, is the list of MK7 tweaks pretty good?

I find sitting down with the VCDS software and going through each module and seeing what options are highlighted for you to tick etc quite interesting, although of course it will vary vehicle to vehicle.

Just ordered a cable from gendan and picking up my car on Friday so will let people know how I get on.

Here are a few confirmed vcds tweaks. All in Dutch but chrome translates well enough to read.

This one will be an interesting one. Think it may just be a case of stocking the bloody thing in and seeing what options you have. From what i've seen online you can change basics like 'going home' and 'leaving home' timeout's on the actual head unit. There's bound to me a load more obviously. Is the VCDS S/W free to DL?

Got them both, sat in the car now! Its stunning. As for vcds, going to need to do some digging, its very differnt to the 6R and differnt to the Golf 7.

So, I found a huge guide written by a guy from Denmark, and it has all kinds including needle sweep (which I just enabled!) I will post a link to it at the top, and will translate it all and post a big guide in the next few days.

Nice! Can you post a link to were you bought the cable and software from,does it work flawlessly?

Bought the real thing from gendan. Works perfectly. Have also enabled the lap timer.
