Hi there guys I'm looking to get an RNS510, but I am a bit confused with the versions and would just like some help.

The one i have been offered is a version C Led Star, which i was quite confused with as i didn't think that the C version came LED but apparently it has a model that does.

But I have also been offered a more expensive F version.

Does any one know any differences between the RNS510 C LED Star version, and the F version, as i thought the difference was LED but assuming the C STAR version comes with LED, what are the other differences?

c star is LED. I had one in my golf

I would opt for the F personally. Larger hard drive and faster processor

Also do you know the difference between the firmware models, 5238, 5269 and 5274

5274 is the latest of those versions but those three are all very similar.

That's a fairly old firmware now in any case

So theres no real differences between them?

Is it worth updating to 5274, i haven't seen any one use it.

Atm I'm getting 5238, but i don't wanna risk trying to update myself and bricking the unit, if there isn't any real difference or update?

Minor revisions. I think I ran 5274 for a while

and then you went back down to 5269?

I'm on a 6xxx version now as I have a new enough unit
