What a difference clear indicators make...

Finally recieved my clear indicators and repeators from GSF after all the hassle of: "They're discontinued...", "We're not getting anymore in stock..." and all the other excuses. I must say they do wonders for modernising the car. If you are considering some, I would recommend them. A real easy mod to do.

Clear indicators with smoked side repeators. The smoked effect matches the smoked indicators on the late spec rear clucters.

The difference from the front. And I know I still don't have a front number plate yet, but I'm working towards new ones, and need some new adhesive foam pads too.
Thanks.
Karl.

Clear indicators do make a huge difference in modernising the car. It was the first mod I did. It just seems to make the car look so much more cleaner.
I have got crystal effect side repeaters off a Porche 911, which I think look pretty cool, and nobody else seems to have them, which is even better.

I think I bought clear indicators for my first mk3 on the first full day I owned it.

Where is the cheapest place to get clear front indicators from.

hehe the only porsche i saw in the car park after that had orange repeaters on - but, they DID look just the same as mine! like the old lotus thing of using morris door handles i guess, if its a sundry part and it looks ok on your sports car, who cares if it came from a shopping cart, hardly anyone's going to know
wonder what other parts would fit.... quite fancy a boxer engine
edit: eh, pants, gsf have hardly anything for 911s... looks like the porsche community aint big on modding and are quite happy with standard orange ones. (but let's be honest - you would be with one of them, wouldn't you!)

I found GSF to be the cheapest place to get hold of the clear indicators. There is, however a downside: They only seem to stock the right hand side indicator, and have to chase round on a wild goose chase for the left (ask metz about that). But after 2 attempts at getting them (the 1st time they told me they were discontinued), and this second time they had to source one from another branch, I finally have some.
Thanks.

Don't get me started on GSF and clear indicators, it makes me wonder which wally orders 20000 right ones and no left.

Yeah its ridiculous, GSF was about £8 cheaper than ECP too, but I was waiting so long I gave up and went to ECP. Bad move as they were £15 a set at GTi international and theyre also on ebay for £20 from time to time.

damn! that means they will be cheap at the polo show too then.
I have just ordered a set for 26 pound plus p+p (this keyboard has no number three so cant do a pound sign)

Its shocking though at GSF. I'm still not sure whether (upon closer inspection) one of the lenses is lighter than the other (as they are manufactured by 2 different companies on each side). If I can convince my self they are a different colour I might try somewhere that offers them as a pair (awesomegti, etc). Wonder whether Martyn can get hold of some Hella ones like the original OE amber jobbies...

oh and metz

just push the stump mate (or a pencil into the hole if no stump) - it'll still work

Grrrr. I am decided then. I had been looking at it from all angles, and still couldnt convince myself they looked identical. Well if its that apparent from a 0.1 megapixel pic, then it must be bleeding obvious.
