Anyone know if you can retrofit a reversing camera to a 6C and if so what I would need to do it?

Anyone know how hard it is to get to the back of the emblem? Does it just plug into the CMS?

Yes. it's one of the plugs in the buttom of the bootlid

I'm not so knowledgeable in this department but isn't €399 (£309) quite expensive for this, considering the factory option is around €310 (£240). Would sourcing the parts direct (if possible) from VW be cheaper?

I only ask as I was considering this option but didn't add it to my order in the end, but still would like to have it.

As I understand it. The rear view camera on a 6C is down by the licenseplate. Not in the rear emblem.

Then CarSystems could just have sold you the camera/VW handle for a 6C if that was available instead of the Mk 6 Golf badge and adapter ring.

Yeah, that would explain the price difference. I thought the badge/handle version was the normal one as I hadn't seen any others.

For those wondering, this video shows the factory installed camera is under the edge of the license plate area on a 6C, as mentioned Mart!n-GTI-DK.

Expensive or cheap

So would the bending lines work with a 6C? Or does the CMS only support the licence plate camera?
