What MPG do you actually get from your 1.2 TSI 105??

Sorry for being boring!

If I'm lucky I get 40 for urban driving and not much more on the motorway.

I had a 2012 1.4 Match but even with lower reported mpg I was getting more than what I get with my current 2011 1.2 SEL. Bought from VW dealer, tyre pressure checked regularly, no mods.

I know its hard to compare given everyone's different driving styles and roads but just wondering what other drivers get from theirs.

I do love the engine though ha

Just tootling around town I'm seeing 43-44 not done a longer run for a while, but I was seeing 57 ish at constant motorway speeds. Don't think I've ever seen less than 38 even when 'pushing-on'

I wouldn't say I have an ecomentalist driving style but I get up into a high gear reasonably quickly.

Mid 40's for urban driving
50's on motorway.

Seem to get very good results

When pushing hard, i seem to get 35-40ish

I've used a great app called Road Trip to put in all my fill-ups.

My Polo average 6,51 L/100 km or 43 MPG with 90% city driving. Managed to get 51.1 MPG with a big roof box on a distance of 1300km, which is great compared to my previous cars.

The car is a 1.2TSI 105 with DSG and I think the engine is fantastic for its size :D

Over 9000 miles I have averaged exactly 45.0mpg with a high of 50.8 and a low of 39.9.

These figures are calculated on a brim-to-brim basis and have been achieved using Shell V-Power Nitro+.

I've tended to get about 45-50 mpg out of my R-Line, without trying particularly hard.

Definitely improved with mileage, and using Shell V-Power certainly helps too; justifies the extra cost.

Motorway I get upto 50 odd mpg and if im really light footed I can reach a nice 53mpg. Urban driving I manage a neat 42mpg with the odd heavy foot, however mines remapped so might be abit different.

I get 38mpg out of my 1.2 TSI R-Line - it hates being driven at 70mph. I'm in the process of replacing it for a Diesel Golf.

Whilst clearing out some old papers the other day, I found fuel consumption records for a couple of Polos I have previously owned (both figures are for 10,000 miles from new):

1996 Polo 1.6GL (Multi point injection): 41.0mpg
2006 Polo 1.4 FSI Sport: 42.7mpg

These compare with 45.0mpg from my current 1.2 TSI 105 and can be regarded as directly comparable.

Progress, certainly, but perhaps not as much as the official figures would lead one to believe.

My first couple of fills got me about 280miles off a full tank. I only got 180 miles tho of my last tank. I'm hoping this is down to me playing around with the tuning box. If it's an actual permanent thing with the drum box on then It's coming off :?
